What Are Prudential’s Rates Like?
The good news is that Prudential actually has some of the best rates around. They are very competitive life insurance company in several situations. You need to be aware that your exact rates are going to depend on factors like your age, gender, health condition, and certain activities you engage in. For example, Prudential is very competitive when it comes to the following situations:
If you have one or more DUIs on your record, most life insurance companies will slap you with a “flat extra” fee on top of your regular rates. While your rates with Prudential may be higher with a DUI, the pricing is still more competitive than any other company. Furthermore, if you’ve has two DUIs in the past decade, Prudential will still insure you whereas most life insurance companies will not.
You will get the smokers rates if you use cigarettes. However, unlike many other insurance companies, With Prudential, you may qualify for nonsmoker rates if you just use chewing tobacco or other smokeless options like Nicorette, the nicotine patch, or e-cigarettes.
History of Illness
Individuals with histories of certain illnesses and medical conditions often end up paying the most expensive rates for life insurance coverage. Prudential nevertheless remains a very competitive company, offering some of the best possible rates for people who have had breast cancer, bladder cancer, thyroid cancer, prostate cancer, diabetes, coronary artery disease, asthma, hepatitis C, elevated liver function, and mood disorders.
If you have a history of another illness not listed here, be sure to contact us as your nearest convenience to learn more about your options.
Active Military Status
If you are currently active in the U.S. military, Prudential has got you covered. With them, your policy will not contain exclusions for dying in war, which is extremely important when it comes to ensuring your loved ones will be financially supported if this should happen. Furthermore, Prudential will still cover you if you have deployment orders. As long as your application is signed while you’re still in the U.S., you are eligible for coverage.
If you are a private pilot with 600 hours of flying time and fly between 30 and 300 hours annually, you are eligible for Prudential’s Standard rates.
Many life insurance companies won’t even think about offering you coverage if you are a non-U.S. resident alien. Prudential, however, will still consider your application.
